Why Indian Government Banned This Game?

The BGMI was banned in July 2022 by the Indian Government under section 69A of the IT Act. It was removed from the android play store and apple app store due to privacy concerns regarding the transfer of user data because this game was communicating with servers that were either directly or indirectly connected in China and created a security issue for the country.

At present, Krafton doesn’t provide any official statement about the release date of the game but they state that soon the BGMI will be available for everyone. They further told us that they respect Indian laws and are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the players.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Electronics and Technology of India has given his statement on Twitter that this is 3 Months trial for BGMI, and they will keep a close eye on location and data security, other issues of user harms and addiction before a final decision.

Negative Aspects

Sticking to Single Game – The first concern after the revival of this is a toxic fan base of this game that starts insulting or hating other games content creators they start abusing them and giving them murder threats which disturbing for creators and can lead to depression also effects mental health.

Addiction –Excessive gaming can lead to addiction, adversely affecting mental and physical well-being. The unban may exacerbate issues related to excessive screen time, neglect of other responsibilities, and sleep deprivation.

There is a concern that students may prioritize gaming over their studies, leading to a decline in academic performance. Balancing gaming and educational commitments becomes crucial to avoid negative consequences.
