Google Maps Finally Gets Dark Mode On Android

Google Maps has started receiving a new update on Android devices that finally brings the much requested dark mode feature.

“What do we want? Dark theme!
Where do we want? Google Maps!,” Google wrote in a tweet via its Android handle.

While Google has been testing the dark mode for Google Maps since September last year, the global rollout for Android users has begun now. The dark mode is to prevent your eyes from being hurt and it helps in boosting the battery life of the device.

To enable the dark mode, you need to tap your profile icon in the top right corner of Google Maps, look for themes settings in the list and activate the dark mode from there.

Users need to download the latest version of Google Maps which is 10.61.2 that will help you to enable the dark mode.
