Kids Won’t Be Able to Play GTA 6 as it Requires Facial Recognition

There’s devastating news for the GTA fans that kids below 17 now won’t be able to play GTA 6. It’s because ESRB, the company behind putting the ratings on each video game, has imposed a facial recognition program that will verify each user’s age by examining the facial structure.

Each GTA 6 buyer will have to go through the facial recognition program. And this program will determine whether the user is above 17 or not.

This program is designed for minors to prevent them from purchasing GTA 6. Because GTA 6 is said to have some mature content and adult content in it.

When Will This Facial Recognition Program Launch?

This program is expected to launch soon as the GTA 6 release date is yet to be announced. Moreover, this technology is still under development as the ESRB is still working on it.

Since the GTA 6 is expected to launch in 2024, this program will also be launched near that date. Because this program and GTA 6 will work together to prevent minors from playing GTA 6.

ESRB primarily does ratings for video games in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Hence, this facial program may not affect people from other countries.
